Bin collection days set to change

Bin collections dates will change throughout Derby, including in Spondon, from w/c 6th June.

The changes are part of Derby City Council's revised collection routes plan, which aims to reduce the time and fuel costs associated with the weekly refuse collections. Routes have been reorganised with the aim of covering whole areas of the city as part of the same day's route. Under the present system, one street may have it collection on one day while a neighbouring street may be on a separate day's route.

The changes come into effect from Monday 6th June and Derby City Council will be issuing information packs to all homes from May 17th detailing whether or not your collection day has changed as part of the new scheme.
