Spondon now has its own flag! The new flag was chosen from a host of entries received in the recent competition organised by Spondon Traders Association to find a design which encapsulated Spondon, its community and its history.
The winning design, top right, is by Jennifer Slatcher and will be made up into a number of flags which will be seen flying in the village centre in the coming months. Alice Cook was also a worthy winner of the Junior category with her design, also pictured.
Spondon Traders would like to thank everyone that entered - there were so many good designs. We hope to see Jennifer’s winning design become a symbol of Spondon for many years to come.
