Board member changes at Spondon Neighbourhood Board

The newly-refreshed Spondon Neighbourhood Board continues to work towards delivering action on the Board’s priorities for Spondon for 2012/13.

The Board is now under the leadership of Chair Councillor Harvey Jennings, with Councillor Chris Poulter and Councillor Evonne Williams. The Board is also made of a mixture of Spondon residents and organisation representatives, supported by a team of advisors from Derby City Council as listed below:

Resident Board members:

  • Angie Doughty
  • Susan Miller
  • Father Julian Hollywell
  • Peter Berry
  • Lauren Bates

    Community Organisations Representatives:

  • Jennifer Slatcher (Spondon Community Association)
  • Steve Bowdler (Neighbourhood Watch)
  • Mark Davis (Spondon Traders Association)
  • Corinne Eyre (Parish Church of St Werburghs)

    Youth Club Representatives:

  • Sian Howard
  • Courtney Austin
  • Jasmine Taylor
  • Jaymie Brown
  • Jodie Miller

    Council Advisors to the Board:

  • Richard Smail
  • Zoe Nettleship
  • Ruth Hardy
  • Dawn Dagley

Councillor Harvey Jennings would like to thank, on behalf of the Board, the following residents who have stood down from the Board this year:

  • Carole Chambers
  • Tom Strachan
  • Emma Donald
  • Alan England
  • Xenia Kapasi
  • Kirsty Shelton
  • Shannon Whaley
  • Beth Austin

They have all given many hours of their time, contributed ideas and suggestions, communicated information and helped deliver a number of activities during their time on the Board.

They should feel proud of their contributions and, while no longer Board members, will no doubt continue to work within their community to improve the quality of life for Spondon residents and visitors.
