Auto crime advice from the Safer Neighbourhood Team

Spondon has seen an increase in offences of theft from motor vehicle/criminal damage to motor vehicles in the local area recently.

In order to ensure you do not become a victim of Auto crime there are a few simple measures you can take:
- Lock your vehicle and ensure all windows are closed.
- Remove any valuable items from display, ideally taking everything into your property.
- Remove any marks left on your windscreen by a satellite navigation system (the marks left from the cradle are an indication that a sat nav may be in your vehicle.)
- If possible park your vehicle near a street light or as near as possible to a residential property.

If you see anything suspicious or have any information please contact Police on the non-emergency number, 101.
