Spondon Village Festival returns for 2011

Early details have been announced of this year's Spondon Village Festival.

Following the success of the first revived Festival in September 2010, organisers are now hard at working putting the plans together for what promises to be an even bigger and better event than last year's.

This year's Festival will take place over two days - Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September with the event being held this year at Bluebells Dairy, Locko Road, Spondon. Saturday's entertainment will start from 5pm with an evening of music from local bands and artists together with other attractions such as fairground rides and food/drink stalls. Sunday sees the main Festival event starting from noon with hundreds of stalls, activities and other entertainment expected to be on offer.

Last year's Spondon Village Festival was a great day out and really succeeded in bringing the people of Spondon together. It's hoped that 2011's event will continue to build on that success.

Anyone interested in taking part in the Festival as a stall holder, exhibitor or performer over the weekend are urged to get in touch with organisers as soon as possible. The organisers, a team of local Spondon residents, are also keen to hear from anyone who would like to help with the organising and running of this year's event.
