Neighbourhood Board - Priorities for 2011

Spondon Neighbourhood Board’s key priorities for 2011 are:

  • Improve highways and transport - with a focus on reducing heavy goods vehicles, speeding, parking and safety around schools.
  • Improve Community Engagement and Empowerment in Spondon - with a focus on communications.
  • Support a healthier community - with a focus on inequalities and obesity.
  • Improve community safety - with a focus on antisocial behaviour, car crime and fear of crime.
  • Improve the Environment in Spondon - with a focus on climate change, dog mess and litter.

Next year is going to be a tough year for community and voluntary groups in Spondon, so if you would like some help with funding and you can help meet some of Spondon Neighbourhood Boards priorities above, then please get in touch with one of the three Spondon councillors:

  • Councillor Evonne Williams – 01332 664560
  • Councillor Peter Berry – 01332 675265
  • Councillor Chris Poulter – 01332 672695

The Neighbourhood Board would like to take this opportunity to thank all the voluntary and community groups in Spondon who make such a difference.

We wish all residents a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you at Spondon Neighbourhood Forum meeting on 9th March in Spondon Village Hall at 6.30pm.
