Free community training courses available

A number of free training courses for community groups and activists are available throughout February and March.

The courses, provided by the East Midlands Empowerment Partnership, are part of the Government's 'Big Society' initiative, aimed at empowering local community to 'run their
lives and neighbourhoods in their own way'.

Courses are completely free to anyone in the East Midlands and you can choose to attend as few/many courses as you like, most of which are being held at the Riverside Conference Centre on Pride Park.

The courses are intended to provide knowledge, training and support to people and groups who hope to make a contribution to improving the local community.
