Results published from Dale Road Park consultation

The results have been published from a public consultation held in January to discuss proposals for the redevelopment of the Dale Road park area of Spondon.

The project, being spearheaded by the Spondon Village Improvement Committee (VIC), is seeking funding to rejuvenate the popular open space in Spondon, maximising the features that it has to offer.

Over 120 people attended the consultation and were asked for their views on a number of proposals, including plans for seating, playground equipment, additional signage and other features. Various designs were also displayed for a proposed toposcope in the park which would highlight the numerous locations and landmarks visible from the park's high vantage point.

Of the various suggestions in the proposals, resurfacing of the car park and path areas was overwhelmingly seen as the highest priority by many people. Improved seating and signage also featured highly on people's wish lists.
